What an amazing weekend. I... am feeling absurdly blessed and a bit baffled by all the kindness that's been heaped upon me these past couple of days. Just said goodbye to my parents, who came by tonight to treat me to PF Chang's (YUM) and hang out for awhile. At one point, Luke finally decided to check yesterday's mail, and it was a birthday bundle

Absolutely! I am so stoked to gang up with some TSCCers and spread the Terminator love. I have a feeling it'll be quite cathartic, haha. But yeah, I know how you feel - I'm usually the one on the sidelines while the rest of my f-list has fun at Comic Con. I'm sure you'll make it one of these days!

My Parts of a Hole trade is totally already signed. I brought, like, everything I had the first Wondercon I met him, and he was happy to sign everything. And he told me about End of Days last year; it looks like it's finally coming out this year. So yes, questions will be asked!

And no, I haven't read Brubaker (he'll be there!); I haven't read through Bendis's run yet.

Oh wow, you've got a lot of excellent stuff to read through, then. Only a couple of Bendis's arcs struck me as lackluster - same with Brubaker. The rest has been wonderful. Daredevil has an excellent tendency to pull really good work out of all kinds of artists and writers. As you probably know!

Thanks for linking to your Wondercon post (holy hot girlfriend, David M!) - I actually ended up reading through most of the TSCC recap too. It made me all sad/nostalgic. Sniff.

PF Chang's FTW! It's our "do we have a bit of extra money tonight? can we justify it? oh yes we can" restaurant of choice. We totally had some of their Mongolian beef last night, along with the Double Pan-Fried Noodles which are tooo diiiee forrr. So good.

Hooray for supportive husbands! I am beyond excited to see you and the rest of the TSCC peeps, and express my Terminator love to its fullest extent. There better be some damn merch there! I'm gonna raid it!

Awe man, I got the heads up email from LJ saying your birthday was coming up and I totally made a mental note to wish you a happy birthday, but I forgot. I'm a terrible friend! For real though, happy belated and it looks like you had ridiculously nice weather for the Disney Land trip.

Ya know, I've always liked waiting until I have the actual CD in my possession to check out new material from an artist I like, but I've been giving in to temptation more and more often in this age of MySpace and whatnot. We'll see how long I can hold off listening to "United States of Eurasia".... (probably until I get done reading your most recent post)

Oh, don't even worry, I get all those notifications too and still always fail to remember people's birthdays when they come up. It's usually not until they themselves mention it that I wake up to the fact. Embarrassing!

You're smart, waiting for the whole album - I wish I could do that. I've promised myself that I won't listen to any other tracks or snippets other than this one and the official single ("Uprising") coming out next Monday. I seriously had heard all but two songs from Black Holes and Revelations before it came out, thanks to live bootlegs and whatnot, which made the release day somewhat less exciting. I want to preserve that this time around!
