I'm still trying to figure out what Twitter is for, really. All I see, it seems, is people saying good morning, good night, what they are having for meals, where they are traveling to or coming from and the occasional link to some cause or an event.

I mean ???

That was my initial impression, too. But its appeal is slowly becoming apparent. What's probably most impressive about it is the fact that so many writers, celebrities, and big figures are a part of the whole community - there's something so odd but so awesome about following Nathan Fillion, for example, and seeing what's preoccupying him for the day. Even the White House has a Twitter account! It's pure craziness.

Yes, that celebrity part is what won me over (yeah, sometimes I'm shallow like that). If they are really who they seem to be, that is.

Now, my next goal at Twitter is to elicit replies to my comments from the celebrities. XP

Welcome! And just think: it could be worse than to be one of the Twitter addicts. (You could be on Facebook!)

OH DEAR. THE SADDEST THING: I am. I am on Facebook every day. It's kind of ridiculous. My excuse is that it's how a lot of my church peeps communicate and organize stuff, so I really can't help it. D: I've had an account since my college years!

See, I'm resisting, but it's penetrated family and friends, and though I protest, lord knows it's probably only a matter of time...
