Well. Now I have a conundrum. Do I read the book and love it and hate the movie or not read the book and love the movie? Sigh.

I hope it is. I'm usually not that picky with books-to-movies, but this one was so cool because it felt all isolated and in the countryside with nobody around. It was harder to tell the difference between the "past" and "present" sequences.
Anyway, haha, I found the book kinda slow when I was little too, because (as I realize now) it's actually pretty highbrow reading - really ambiguous prose, a lot of mood and not much action. But it's totally brilliant and you should read it at some point post-October in the dead of the night. That works best, I find. ;)

The Invasion (eehehee)
Across the Universe (which I would not see but it looks like a Moulin Rougey type thing, so I AM THERE.)
1-18-08 (directed by JJ Abrams, and yes, the trailer is just as frustrating as an episode of LOST)
10,000 BC
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, foo!
PS I reallyreallyreallyreallyreally think you should come visit me in October.

Well I certainly thought so before your text, but now? UM IT HAS TO HAPPEN.
And bweee, I loved that 1-18-08 trailer! LOVED. It is so nutty. Totally there for The Invasion (Daniel Craig!) and Across the Universe, too.
