Media binge!

So despite work eating up 35 hours of my week, it has granted me one bliss: nothing to worry about when I get home. In this single, small way, it is superior to the school year.

Because? At last, my Netflix is a steady stream again! At last, my wallet can afford overpriced DVD sets!

You'll LOVE Bleak House--it was absolutely amazing. In the UK it was shown on television as half-hour episodes, like a Victorian soap opera--or like the series that Dickens originally wrote.

Oh ye gods, I adored North and South - so much that it's sitting on my shelf. :D That's kind of what started this whole British miniseries binge of mine. I put it on whenever I'm feeling quiet and have a lot of time to myself. So gorgeous.

But yeah, I look forward to settling into Bleak House - I've only watched the first episode thus far, but I already love the whole mood it's set up; some of those cinematography/editing choices are fabulous and unusual.
