I got a squee![1] (Or an ee!, which is similar.) I'm pleased with how it came out, too. I always wonder how I'll end something, and then I either fail to finish it, or the end makes itself apparent. Hard-boiled fiction is fun, anyway.

Yes to both! "Helpmeet" is pretty darned accurate, too, in our case. He helps me meet lots of things -- schedules, deadlines, and ends, for starters.
