     One of the many facets of Iron Pony is that I do repair and warranty work for a lot of companies.  A lot of stuff gets sent here for repairs that really shouldn't have been sent here, mostly because the clerks at the stores don't know what they're doing.  What really irks me (and should be irking the managers) is when a store gives the ( Read more... )

I understand your frustration at having equipment brought in that should have been looked after. This afternoon the furnace in the barn office quit working and the H M phoned a service company to come and get it fixed. A man came later and said that the motor had to be replaced because it was completely plugged with dust and dirt, as was the entire furnace and all the vents. He was really annoyed. He said it had probably not been cleaned in several years, and the filters were solid with dirt. I was annoyed because only two weeks ago my H M assured me that the furnaces in the barn had been vacuumed, given new filters, and worked perfectly. Such was obviously not the case. I arranged for the service man's company to come tomorrow the replace the motor, and service all three of our furnaces. It will cost a fortune. I have been complaining about the dust in the barn for the past two years and even bought a big built-in vacuum system, which has rarely been used. I moved all my accounting work from the barn office to my home office ( ... )
