What a Week...

Not only can I say "Thank God it's Friday!" today, but I can also say "Thank God it's Spring!" as today is the first official day of Spring, 2015.  Not that we had that bad of a winter (in fact, this was the mildest winter I've seen since we moved here!) but it still just seemed to drag on forever.  Of course, Winter isn't known for letting go ( Read more... )

It troubles me that your health is not what it should be. Could it be that the accumulation of disappointments, over work, and stress simply overwhelmed your system? You are normally an optimistic and positive person with lots of good ideas and plans (sometimes too many) so it is very likely that when things go south your system reacts badly.

It would please me so much if you packed up and moved your family to a nice three bedroom house in Cochrane and boarded your horses here for a few years until this place came up for sale (or something else) when you could make this the kind of place it was meant to be. I will be gone before too long and the hired man is approaching 65, so we will be out of the picture and long forgotten in ten to fifteen years. But, of course, wishes are just wishes. Nice to have but not often realized. In the meantime, cool it and get well again.

My recent bout with the cold was due to the two little gremlins running around the house. One of them has learned to cover her mouth when she coughs, but the other (the younger) doesn't quite grasp the concept yet. Unfortunately, when you have small children around, you're going to catch whatever they catch, and they catch everything that comes into the school or daycare. Avoiding that is one of the advantages of being single, I guess. ;)

If wishes were horses...
