Moosey-Moose...

     One of my favourite things about living out here on the farm is the abundance of wildlife around us.  We see a lot of deer, the occasional fox, coyotes, a badger now and then, but today was the first time I saw a moose - up close.

The only time I've seen a moose in the wild is from tens of miles away - on a different mountain from the one I was standing on.

Congrats on seeing such a quintessentially Canadian animal ^-^

Thanks! :) The other "quintessnetial Canadian Animal" would be Canada Geese, which we get here quite often. No beavers though, at least not here on the farm. I have seen plenty of them though; For a while there they were causing a real problem back in Calgary because they were building dams in the middle of the city (Calgary has two rivers that flow right through it) and causing flooding in areas.

I once saw a, regrettably, road-killed beaver a quarter mile from my uncle's house in the suburbs of Atlanta.
