I'm just speaking here. My heart hurts. There is still some residual sprituality in me, if you want to call it that. I find it harder and harder to reconcile with the fact that I truly believe the human collective is deeply divided, sheltered in places in ways that put others at risk (racism, here in MA it can seem so removed when it's not TOTALLY

This is why I'm terrified about the idea of colonizing Mars in this century. I don't think we're ready. How do we choose who goes? How do we get along once we're there?

Ok, that thought was a little far out there. But people are seriously considering colonizing Mars.

I feel guilty because sometimes I wonder what would happen if a global catastrophe happened -- would it open peoples' eyes? Would people open their hearts when they are left with none of their possessions and money? Their borders?
