these videos are freakin awesome. eventing used to be RIDICULOUSLY intense. that slalom thing I would definitely be 150% dead. totally dead. that was so awesome to see. thanks for finding/posting!

That's just to "sort them out!" you know =) I like this format of Eventing. The long with a grueling Cross and a straight forward show jump. I like how the Dressage has gotten more important over the years as it DOES help the horses, but I don't like the short or how much the stadium, has changed.

My God, Princess Anne impressed me after the hard accident, getting back on, and then the near second huge accident. Horse looked like a tough one to ride, too. Color me impressed.

And terrified. :) No solid jumps for me.

I've been meaning to watch this, I've seen it posted everywhere the last couple days!!

The Burghley website also has a Best Of Burghley tab, where they have all the competitions starting from 1990 to now on youtube. I LOVE seeing the old style eventing, I feel like Sunny would have really excelled back then:)
