I want to buy this cheap little harness for my fat mini, but I'm not sure if I should buy him the mini size, or the pony size. He is 36" tall, so pretty much the cut off for mini's, and he's realllllly big around. But nose to butt he's the same as any other mini...Help meeee

Here's the harness  tack question, tack & equipment: misc., driving

Go for what fits in length. You can always extend the girth if you need to. There's only one piece that fits around. There are several that need to fit lengthwise that you'll have a much harder time adjusting than just extending the girth. That's just my experience from driving carriages.

Alrighty then, going with the mini size!

This was my train of thought too - I think it would be far easier to have to rig up some kind of extension for the girth than try to make the length a lot shorter without destroying the whole harness.

Also, dealing with a harness that is too big is a nightmare. I'd say go for the mini size. My mini is around 32" I think, I bought a pretty little mini sized harness for him, and it's too big.
