i can tell you i just got a tetanus shot myself last week and that is definitely an experience i will NOT be repeating unless necessary O_o it was awful...my whole arm, shoulder and neck were in so much pain, and i was nauseous and dizzy and just felt REALLY weird for a couple days. so he may well be having a similar reaction. i'd leave the poor guy alone-i didn't even go to work the next day bc i felt so weird!

That's what I'm trying to do because he's really not himself at all. I went in to his stable to skip him out and when I went to shake some new straw down he acted like it was the scariest thing that could happen to him. It's all very weird and the only thing I can think of is that it's all connected with his jabs. He just doesn't look 'right' and it probably wouldn't even be noticable to someone else, but to me, he looks anxious. The vet wasn't much help - just told me to keep any eye on him. Hmmmmm yes vet, I hadn't thought of doing that!
Thanks for your input - I'm getting more sense on here than from the 'professionals' at the moment!

We just gave our shots the other day and the Strangles vaccine is the real pain in the ass. All the horses are stiff and sore. We had to breed Escamillo the other day and he couldn't even jump on the mare so we had to wait. =\

Some horses just react badly. He may not be feeling well and doesn't wanna be messed with. He'll be good soon, I'm sure. :)
