Riding glove patterns

Hi everyone,
My dad recently gave me a few tanned deer hides. They are pretty thin and soft, so I thought they'd be perfect for riding gloves. Does anyone know a place with good patterns, both for men and womens gloves? Anyone ever made them before? Thanks!

I don't know much about making riding gloves, but I know people who have made fitted leather gloves. Most use a pattern where you basically start with a tracing of your hand, and then they can vary in complexity. This site: http://www.glove.org/default.php has some different patterns, but the "Simple" gloves are pretty similar to what I've seen done.

i figured i would need to do it by hand! Do you have any tips/ tricks to give about them?
