So I really want to have Elaine Banfield come and do a clinic at my barn. Apparently, she knows my coach Susan really well and told me she'd love to do a clinic at the stables

Take a look at other clinic ads. They're all over the internet and could be a great model for you. A few things I'd keep in mind:
- pictures! people are drawn to images, so use that.
- list the clinicians credentials. People aren't going to pay money to ride with someone they haven't heard of.
- post EVERYWHERE. Go to other local barns; even private stables will usually let you post fliers.
- advertise for auditors as well; charge a minimal fee and you'll get a draw of people who can't/ are uncomfortable bringing their own horse but still want to come. When my stable hosted Bo Jena, auditor fees made up half our cost coverage, and paid for his flight to us.

A good policy, rather than doing a survey or similar might be to provisionally book early and be prepared to cancel in a few months time if there isn't interest. People tend to be quite unreliable where surveys are concerned- by all means ask around but don't count on it too much.

Take a non-refundable deposit to secure rider places because some people will flake out on you. You don't even have to be right-wing about it if someone has a real problem it just saves on getting messed about.

ooh, yes, I didn't say this but a non-refundable deposit is a great idea. We didn't do this and had a couple people flake, and it ended up coming out of our pockets.

Elaine's really nice. I was supposed to ride some of her horses last year but, alas, went back to Germany

Pictures, and list the credentials. She does a pretty good job of it on the website, just pull the information and some photos from there

lmao, Im no help but shes an awesome coach when she taught us at Meadow Green. :P

Also i'd go if I had the money to go to her clinic :P
