deer flies (or as I sometimes say, MOOSE flies) are horrible. i got bitten by one on vacation in maine over 2 weeks ago and still have a small bump left!

Sorry... Naive Aussie girl here! And those little mozzies you guys have over there... they make me laugh :) We have real, 1" big mozzies over here.

It's funny... Ozzy wasn't the least bit phased by the chaos on the bridge and tried to plow right through the cops who were trying to stop him. He was totally on a mission.

Congrats, that's great! Ozzy is looking fantastic. And your back! Has it stopped itching yet? I bet it felt good on both of you when Ozzy used you as a scratching post.

I spent three days straight covering myself in rubbing alcohol. It helped a lot. I don't usually let Ozzy scratch on me, but if he carries me for 25 miles without complaint, he can have a rub. LOL. It did feel good.

Every bit of the trip was an adventure for sure... from waiting out massive storms in the truck to getting lost in the infinite state of Vermont to sleeping at the fairgrounds.
