This is Boon. One of the many horses I've looked at. I think he's beautiful in color.

He's very cute, but I would agree with all above statements, being that he seems too young to be ridden in full work just yet. I know horses who have been started at two and three, but are worked very very lightly until they are almost five. Also, it depends on what you really plan on doing with him.

In terms of conformation, I'm not too fond of his pasterns, and he seems to be a bit back at the knee.

While he looks alert, and generally happy, in the first picture, and the second to last one, he's got a bit of a wary eye, though that will change with age.

Best of luck in your search!

AQHA/Quarter Horses are commonly broken out to ride beginning at age two, if they are lucky.
I have heard of several "top" trainers within the industry that begin riding their horses as long yearlings.
Really one of the best things to do is wait, I ended up having a horse in training at two that just mentally couldn't take it (although physically he was in great shape) and as a result I chose to take him out of training and leave him out in the brood mare pasture over the summer.
Something about his hindquarters and hind legs are bothering me though - don't be blinded by a pretty color! He looks to be downhill, which I'm guessing is because he is growing, but if that is not the case than you are looking at a horse that will always be downhill.

He's cute but definitely just a little baby.
Do you WANT a horse that you're gping to have to do everything with? He definitely shouldn't be being ridden yet. Three year olds being broken is not a golden rule or anything, it depends on developmentally how far along the horse is- some breeds earlier some breeds later.
He's cute but his pasterns are quite long.
