On this like WHOA. G3 is the reason I got back into ponies hardcore. They make up the vast majority of pony around here. I have a near complete collection--there's a few rares and hard to finds I'm still digging around for, but the first few years? I've got pretty much them all. (I need a checklist to mark what I need to look for). My now husband bought some for me as a college graduation present, and some at Costcos; I used to give up lunch for these girls. My first G3 was the Cotton Candy Sweet Shop, And I still have all my pieces.

I am CRAZY about G3. And the things they came up with--sparkles, gemmed and 3D cutie marks, gradient colors, ponies that smelled like food, the long legged babies--G4 might have the better show, but G3 had the better VARIETY and anyone who says otherwise is a liar and a punk. Also? G3 Pinkie for the mother fucking win.

Just a few shots of the herd:

I love G3. It's what got me into collecting as an adult. Most of my G3s are packed away (I moved, like, a year ago, but I hung up exactly one shelf and called it a day). I'm not sure how many I have, maybe upwards of twenty? I don't actively collect them right now, but I do love them.

Uh, I do have one picture here. My first G3, Butterscotch. Pictured with my first G1 (and first pony ever, Butterscotch). And, just for good measure with the 2007 anniversary Butterscotch.
(Guess where my username came from. Guess.)
