Rock & Roll is Life

So I got the chance to see The Who perform at the Key Arena tonight and it was pretty amazing. I knew that they would be good, I mean they're The Who, but I didn't know they'd be as good as they were. They played a bunch of great famous songs like Pinball Wizard, My Generation, Who Are You, You Better You Bet, Baba O'Riley (Teenage Wasteland), & ( Read more... )

Oh my, how much money do you have...! All these concerts of really great people, that must be so expensive!
Btw, I'd really love to see "The US vs. John Lennon" but it didn't hitthe screens here, onl available on DVD. And that's too expensive... But I'm sure I know many of the facts mentioned in that film... *Lennongeek*

Oh my, how much money do you have I don't have much at all but my mom & my dad each have enough. My mom bought The Who tickets and my dad bought my mom The Rolling Stones tickets for her birthday (though I helped him decide on a gift!), I'm just the lucky concert invitee!

The US vs. John Lennon" but it didn't hit the screens here I'm guessing it's not playing in that many places. It's only playing on two screens in Seattle and nowhere else in the surrounding cities. I'm glad it was playing here at least a little though.

*Lennongeek* Awesome!

all these concerts must be really expensive They are! Actually The Who seemed reasonably priced (which is still kinda expensive) for how awesome and iconic they are. The Stones on the other hand charge ridiculous prices, but they can obviously get away with it as people keep paying for them. I'm just lucky, my dad bought my mom the Stones tickets for her birthday and she's taking me with her.

I like well-made documentaries and John Lennon :) I love a good documentary too and John Lennon is awesome. I just wish he had lived longer, I would love to see if he would still be a "peacnick" in today's times and if he'd still be making awesome music.

You got to see The Who!?? *jealous* So cool, though!
One question--how were the accoustics at the Key Arena? I saw Bob Dylan there once, and it was last minute so we were way up high, but the sound was terrible. We couldn't even recognize some of the songs. Another friend of mine on the floor said it was alright though...hmmm.
Oh, I miss Seattle. :(

You got to see The Who!?? Yes, I have the most awesome mom who bought tickets and was cool enough to take me because otherwise I never would have gotten to go.

how were the acoustics at the Key Arena? I though they were really good, the Tacoma Dome is probably better though. I had no problem understanding all of the songs. They seriously rocked loud but it all sounded pretty crisp. Last month when I saw Elton John I sat almost at the top and it was still pretty good sounding but I think it might be at least a little bit better down lower.

Oh, I miss Seattle. :( I would too, if I were away. I had some friends that were so happy to get away after high school but I'm glad I went to the UW. I think I would have missed the PNW too much.

Yay, The Who! I was lucky enough to see them too, last year, and they were awesome. I'm jealous now, you've made me want to see them all over again. As to the new album, have you any idea when it's coming out? I've been looking out for it for a while.

'...I think I may soon go deaf'

With bands like these that you're seeing, i think it may be worth it!! ;) Hope The Stones are as good!

As to the new album, have you any idea when it's coming out? I don't know the exact date but I think they said it was coming at the end of October or maybe early November. Regardless of my poor memory, it should be coming out fairly soon.
