I've been having these weird chest pains for the past few hours...they were there when I laid down for a nap, and they were there when I woke up.

This concerns me a little, as (almost-)24 is way too young for a heart attack. D:

Ideas?

A heart attack would be very rare for a thin 23-year-old female.

Did you:

1. Start taking a new medicine or supplement?
If so, check the side effects on the box and see if chest pains are listed.

2. Undergo a lot of stress lately? Chest pains can be a sign of stress as well.

You need to call your doctor in any case. Severe anxiety and/or new symptoms need to be looked at.

Possibly costochondritis? It's an inflammation in your chest. I get them and they come and go (when they're bad, I can barely move). Advil helps relieve it though. <3

I had some weird chest palpitations for about 4 days on and off, and I was super worried. It got worse when I would drink wine (which I did often), but it went away eventually! Has not happened since.
