Things were finally falling into place. Plans were coming together, and things were settling down again. Atleast, as settled as they could have been on this crazy island. Al and Ed had spent many afternoons collecting plantlife samples, learning about the eco-system, and putting together the details of their first trek into the dinosaur territory. There was one major thing left to do, though. And that was exactly what had him out on this particulary warm afternoon.
Edward needed a tune-up. It was a rather absurd way of putting it, when he thoguth about it. I sound like a car, he'd grummbled under his breath one day when he was a few years younger, and he'd been on the receiving end of Winry's wrench for it.
By the time he'd finished alternately smiling and wincing at the memories, he was standing at the base of a tree that looked more like a construction site than a bit of nature. Winry had shown the brothers where she planned to build her treehouse, and they'd stopped by a few times to check up on her, but this was the first time Edward had come alone.
"OI--!" he called up, looking at the bottom of the treehouse foundation.
