The Straight-edge effect

Today's flowing fairly slowly as I'm slurping a mouthful of instant noodles with sliced turkey breast in it. So Im eating and answering questions on okcupid, and this question pops up. has "straight-edge" been popularized to the status of youth genre? you're right. there's a point when applying too much polish starts to distort the luster of what's generally considered "moral" or "healthy."

personally i prefer the direct approach --just rub shit all over everything. pass the razor and the everclear, please.

straight edge-- i admire the tenets and the creation. i even enjoy some of the music (i know, i'm horrible, right?) but as a whole-- i wouldnt' call myself edge just like i hate to classify myself as, oh i dunno, "cool". straight edge is a wonderful thing in it's conception and ideals, but just like communism, christianity, and 2 tons of cookies in the face, it sounds good on paper but in real life... that shit sucks ( ... )

I agree on communism and christianity, but eating my way out of two tons of cookies, you must rethink such things when it comes to gluttons. That sounds pretty damn good, and yes, I have already thunk over the scenario "Got milk?". I don't give a fuck so long as the cookies are tasty.
