Beorn never said a word, but it was obvious that from the moment Bilbo entered his house that he knew.
Bilbo allowed the teasing with good humour, and perhaps with a little relief, after all, who in their right mind would call a dragon 'bunny' and carry them arround.
It was a dark night when Beorn announce that goblins were close by, and he gave Bilbo a look from under his brows.
And if the heads Beorn hung in warning looked a little singed arround the edges, no one said a word.
The ponies that they were loaned when they left were skittish arround Bilbo the first day, but as soon as they realised that he wasn't about to eat them, they settled. The company seemed to think that Bilbo's dislike of riding had made the animals nervious, and Bilbo was happy to let them think that.
And if there was a dark shadow in the sky that followed a bear on land in the night, no one saw.
