So I've been planning on an end of summer splurge-- I want to drop $$$ on something pretty expensive that I don't need but that I want. However, there are too many of these so I come to you: should I get a pair of Citizens of Humanity jeans (~$150) or one or two soccer jerseys (~$75 each for last season's, if I look right). Of course, I can buy ( Read more... )

my dumb ass, dinero, warkin', clothes!

Jerseys, one-hundred percent all the way. Sure, the jeans will make your ass look great, or whatever, but come on, the jerseys are sports related, and therefore much more awesome.

jerseys, for sure.

um, unless you are 10000% sure that the jeans will fit you & not fall apart. i have terrible luck finding jeans & might be persuaded to drop that kind of cash on a pair that fit fabulously & would last like five years at least. if these pants are that for you then go for it, i guess? the jerseys still sound like a way better choice.

yeah, usually i get em for like, fifteen dollars at tj maxx but these did fit fabulously and they ought to last a while. i was considering them because my first pair of expensive jeans are now looking a little more worse for wear and they don't fit as well (after a few years of wonderful service).

Jerseys so you can represent.

Because your ass can always represent itself.

I'm going against the grain and saying jeans. Well made jeans are awesome, versatile pieces that you can wear to basically anything except a job interview. Expensive jeans are the tailored suits of our generation.

Or you could, you know, buy jerseys. Uh... yeah. Can't you just wave a flag or something? I don't like any sports team enough to buy branded stuff about them, so this isn't much of a dilemma to me.

yeah, usually i don't spend so much on jeans, but like you said, well made jeans can go anywhere, and i really don't have that pair currently (i just have the ones with the hole in the ass area or w/e).

no, not really. i can't go to the games and wave a flag, and just having it hanging is kind of...meh. i was considering scarves but i can't find any cute ones. :-(

Well, if you don't buy these, you should at least buy some replacement jeans, or put a cool patch on the hole in the ass area jeans D: Jeans with (non-artful) holes in them do no one any favors.

Would a scarf with the team colors be enough, or would it have to have the logo on it, too?

eh, red white and blue would be kinda cheeseball (and the ones with the logo have "USA" right in the middle, and tbh i'd feel like an ass wearing it day-to-day), and the tottenham colors are blue and white, which would be nice, but a bit undistinctive? and then the ones with the logo i've found so far are uggo. but i have been considering scarves, definitely.

and then i went out for a run today and remembered i need running shoes, so might not get a jersey or jeans and just get shoes, lol. i am such a pain in the ass.

Jeans. Jerseys are situational only. Jeans are anytime, and look a hell of a lot cuter.
