I'm never watching futurama again. I was watching it more than an hour ago,and my laugh induced cough (ALL HAIL THE HYPNOTOAD) is only now beginning to lull now that I've had a shower, despite working my way through a packet of Soothers. I was worried that this cough not finish before all my teeth fell out

One of my friends was chased up onto a table by a Cassowary when he was up in the Daintree. He never found out what happened when they catch you either.
But they have an unhinged look in their eyes, so I wouldn't be surprised by whatever method they use to dispose of their enemies.

The hynotoad is some awesome! As is Great Barrier Reef snorkelling. I really need to head back up there again and actually swim at pristine beaches instead of visiting them purely to get mobile reception to call banana plantation owners. As for PhD talks don't have to talk again till October, mhahaha! (maybe I'll have data to present by then...maybe).

I think having to do 2 hour long division seminars a year really is quite a lot. Preparation eats up quite a lot of time (but again, it wouldn't take quite so long if my data was always in a figure presentable type form, and it helps me make sense of the whole thing).

Learn to scuba!! Snorkelling is fun, but scuba is so much better. Much less bouncing around on the waves, and you can get close to the things you want to see. I'm sure you can hire a prescription mask somewhere.

Yes I think SCUBAing would be more awesome, the waves did start to piss me off. My current plan is to learn as soon as Daniel organises it as I'm lazy.
