I think there should be an nraged-style chat about DH. I have a lot of things (good and bad.. maybe mostly bad? I haven't decided yet) I'd like to talk about. :D
Temp screenname is BarryJeanPotter. I'm away on vacation and I've forgotten my password to Stupidtrucks.
I'm also sad about Snape-- but I didn't feel it was unnecessary, because Voldemort thought he wouldn't be able to use the wand properly until he killed him.
And Snape was able to give his Lily-memories to Harry, which means that Harry now knows exactly how brave Snape was, and given that after that he respected him enough to name a child after him, he probably spread that set of memories around a bit. In the canon in my head, Snape is recognized postumously.
I agree wholeheartedly.finestraditempoJuly 23 2007, 15:57:57 UTC
I'm angry that she not only didn't bother to give Lupin and Tonks a more meaningful or descriptive death- but that Fred's was practically "an accident" and nothing is said of Harry being Teddy's godfather in the end or the Epilogue. I think it would have been fitting to have Harry looking down at Teddy at some point in the last chapter. Meh.

8. Yeah, what the hell was that? Lupin, at the very least, could have died on-screen.
