my quote of the day

"If you get bored with nothing to do, you are not a writer." -- Guillermo del Toro

I shouldn't complain but I think it's gonna be another day like yesterday...

Oh, yes, very much. All I have to say is that little word "bored" and things start to happen. :)

well, I'm betting even writers get bored sometimes.

Maybe...I do, that's for sure! I kind of don't trust those people who are supposedly always entertained by their imaginations. And yet...

That's rubbish. Sorry, but it is.

I am sorry you are feeling down.

I am thinking about you and am around if you want.

Thank you.

I am doing okay, actually. And of course once I use the word "bored" all sorts of annoying things present themselves to fill in the space.

Not true. You can tell by his name he's an idiot. Even if you're bored and you sit down to write, you can still be bored with nothing to do because nothing comes to you to write. So why beat yourself up? Write when you CAN. There's always stuff to do (there's never nothing to do - you could clean the cat box or the oven or jog around the block, blech - you do what you're inspired to do. And if you're inspired to be bored with nothing to do, then go with it. That has NOTHING to do with being a writer.

Sorry to rant all over your quote. You're welcome to return the favor anytime. :)

What part of his name denotes his idiocy?

You are right though, there are always things to do, just not things I want to do.
