Wow, I'm jealous! I've seen Twelfth Night on stage, but I've never seen Hamlet (my favorite; yes, I'm a cliche) and Henry IV, which probably plays a lot more awesomely than it reads. Plus Tennessee Williams? Fabulous. :)

I love Hamlet. I'd seen Twelfth Night before, but it was a crazy production that didn't make any sense so it didn't really count. Henry IV was not bad for a history.

I tried having a Shakespeare reading at my house for Twelfth Night once but not enough players showed up, lol. I'm curious as to how you single handedly ruined the Merchant of Venice, lol.

I saw Twelfth Night before, and they only had 4 actors playing all the parts. It was very...confusing. (Yes, someone did have a scene with themself.)

I ruined Merchant for myself by being crabby. Not for anyone else! That sounds amusing.

It seems most got rave reviews. Was Merchants the one with the bad seating etiquette?

I want to go see Tempest with Christopher Plummer at our Shakespeare festival. I may pair it was something else - maybe with Peter Pan or Kiss Me Kate.

Yes, Merchant was the bad seating etiquette.

Oh, you should go. I bet Christopher Plummer is great in the Tempest. We did Kiss Me Kate in high school, so I'm a fan, but I know Peter Pan is great too.

I recently saw a very meh production of Hamlet, so envy you your good one. Although I did like the RSC production that recently aired on PBS - though of course, that's not like seeing it live.

Twelfth Night is the Shakespeare play I've seen most often. It seems to be produced a lot

Where do you stay when you go to Ashland? I'd like to go to the fest, but it seems such an expensive undertaking.

A meh Hamlet is sad! As proven by most of the movie versions. I haven't seen the RSC one yet, though, it's in my Netflix queue.

Twelfth Night does seem to be one of the more popular ones.

It does get pricey. I stay at the Ashland Springs Hotel, which is definitely not cheap, but I really like it. I used to stay at the Best Western, which was disgusting. I think B&Bs are probably the way to go for a lower cost. There's also a couple of well reviewed less expensive hotels -- I think the Peerless is one -- but they don't have air conditioning, and usually it is very hot in Ashland in the summer.

How your fault?

Please. Oh, wait. I suspect you know that I am neither "anyone" nor "everyone."

Oh, cause I was in a bad mood and not enjoying anything.

I knew you were going to say that. And I knew you would be interested. :) I still might post them, I'm just lazy.

Fair enough.

I knew you knew I was going to say that. I am glad that you knew I would be interested. I understand.
