Oh no! I really have to post on the last day of the year to remind people to stand up when the new year arrives. My Ukrainian great-grandmother always said (so I am told) that if you are not on your feet when the old year leaves, you may be on your back at the next (and not in the good way). That old kind of superstition freaks me out when I think of it, so I have to do it, you know?
