Interesting! Sawyer is almost fatalistic here. Unlike Desmond, he seems to know that the island is more real than the past. A fascinating little fic!

Thank you! It's funny how this has brought out the contrast between Sawyer and Desmond (although I guess in retrospect it seems obvious why it would).

Ooh, I love Sawyer/Island too, this was great! Especially liked the bit about the mountains in Tennessee. :)

Oh god. That's such a clever and powerful idea, the island sending him back to when he "became" Sawyer. You did a beautiful job of capturing it too. Great job.

Thank you so much! As soon as it occurred to me, I got all excited and knew I *had* to write it, so I'm glad you thought it worked.

Very interesting to see Sawyer taken back into his past. This is something I've always wanted to see more of; I feel like Sawyer very much got shortchanged on the FBs, in both amount and content. I feel like we never got to see the parts of his past that might be the most interesting and important. Having him jump back and forth in time like Desmond is a great way for us to experience that.

Thank you. I agree, there are so many interesting things they could have done in Sawyer flashbacks. Maybe we'll still see them, but it's looking less likely. The notion of sending him time traveling was just so fun I couldn't pass it up.

-This- is what "The Constant" -should- have been. This captures not only Sawyer and his voice, but it also is so true to canon/should be canon, that this -must- happen. Exactly like this. It on;y took you a few strokes to create something very significant. So much so, that when I came back to read this again, I was surprised that this was not a story that was 4-5 times as long. It has stayed with me, haunted me, but not in a bad way. Pretty much how missing new Lost does to me...

Oh, and what is the deal with cutting a Sawyer episode?!?! How dare they! I don't care how short the season is. That is not right.

Thank you for sharing this.
