Wow, Atonement was really, really good.

And "Earth Hour" starts in about 20 minutes. At first I thought I'd missed it. Since I haven't, I'll see if I can scare up a flashlight that works. (Probably not earth-friendly but sitting in the dark isn't going to work for me.) I can use the time to think about how much better it would be to have a fridge ( Read more... )

I re-watched Atonement this week and was wowed again by how good it was. I hope you had a nice earth hour and didn't bang into anything in the dark.

I keep hearing Atonement is good, but I've also heard that bad things happen to horses and I don't deal well with that. Is it possible to fast forward through that?

Hope you enjoyed your Earth time!

Oh, yeah. It's a really short scene so you could totally fast forward through it, but you'd probably need someone to tell you when it's coming or know what time it happens so you can just hit fast forward at that moment.

I curled up with a flashlight and book, it was sort of fun reading in the dark.

still haven't seen that movie, but I am so behind, it's not surprising.

I remembered Heart Hour 57 minutes in. ooops. fail!

I'm always really behind on movies and stuff too!

And no worries, at least you thought of it. :)

You should read the book, it's great, but you can appreciate the movie even more because it edited out a few things to make it a little more sharper, and it added a few things in (nothing major though) to really get the gist of a few things as well.

I loved both and James McAvoy really has once again proved he's one heck of a great actor.

Yeah, it really made me want to read the book, which I'd had recommended before but hadn't gotten around to.

James McAvoy is great.
