I had NO IDEA that guy was a guest star! shows how out of the loop I am... and well, being unspoiled of who comes on the show, I guess I am not disappointed when they turn to be less than expected...
hey, you are entitled to your opinion, like the episode or not! lol!
I think I've built shelves in my mind for Lost. There's the way top shelf that I know I'll never be able to reach so I don't even try, and that's where I put all the paradox shit. Then there's the connections-coincidences shelf that I really really have to stretch for, but I'll do it if I decide I care enough to make the effort. Then there's the easy shelves where I put all the epic love and slash and fun stuff, and then there's the bottom shelf that's all dusty and I try not even to look at, and that's where I put all the so-called promises that Demon and Curse have made, like the one about how everything on Lost can be explained by science-fact. Yeah, and I'm a pink-eyed rat named Eloise. *snort*
Now I've gotta go rewatch because my headache is getting better and I'm a masochist.
LOL, Mark Twain in a white suit! You know, it'd make a good crack fic to write one in which all the time travel cliches appear.
Still, I like it. Not flaily OMG! kind of liking it, but I'm fine with it. I guess I'm not thinking too hard about it at the moment, just going along. I think my years of being a Trekkie have positively disposed me toward time travel plotlines.
The doctor is on CSI. He plays Ecklie (sp?).
I don't even think I've ever seen Fisher Stevens before, but everyone seems to know who he is. *is out of the loop*

Time travel annoys me because there's ALWAYS something that doesn't add up and I found it and it kept me awake.
Kevin Durand/Joshua = bad guy everywhere else. But it was kind of funny to sit up and shout, "OMG JOSHUA!" and then giggle.

I'm glad I wasn't the only going "Joshua!" :)

I was in a really restless mood last night anyway, and I think that added to my irritation with the episode.
I was thinking about that promise too. *eyeroll*
