Maybe he thinks he'll taste Jack on her lips when he kisses her. )

I love the opening lines of this, as well as, you know, the sex. The part about the sun is especially perfect.

Love this!

I could so see this being a missing scene because Sawyer always needs to get his hands all over any woman who is interested in Jack. Because we all know that Jack is the one he really wants. :)

Oh, that's so true. Sawyer really does have to chase after anyone who gets close to Jack. I hadn't quite thought of it in those terms before, though yes, Jack is who he really wants!

When he kissed her it was sweet and chaste, white to Sawyer's black, everything Sawyer is not.

They have only three things in common: they're here, they're about to die, and they love Jack.

Poetry, just poetry. That, and the almost biblical effect of the imagery, the simple matter-of-factness, of the closing line.

Such gorgeous imagery. And I like the coldness of this encounter, even if it's spurred on by fear and desperation, and even when we get very visceral descriptions of what it feels like. Seems very in character.

Thank you! I'm glad that the coldness comes through, even combined with the other things. I do see it as being very in character, for both of them, but Juliet especially comes across that way.

Thank you so much! Once I got started with the colors, I couldn't stop! Those lines, definitely, would not have been the same without the color challenge.
