Y'all need to fight that. It's double indemnity and it's illegal. NO person can be tried twice for the SAME CRIME.

unfortunately, if its being tried as a civilian court thing, then as a military court thing, it *isnt* double indemnity.

unfortunately it's not double endemnity as it's federal charges and state charges which are different. Now double endemenity would be if State tried twice on the same evidence or if ZFederal tried twice on the same evidence. after a final verdict. A mistrial is just a glitch in the process and that can be retried.....

So now it's just another waiting game. As Chum said if this wasn't an election year the DA might not be so aggressive about this.

However you might need to talk to Ralph and get a consult with a criminal lawyer with experience in Federal cases like this.

It really sounds like somebody looking for points to be re-elected, showing how he was "tough" on crime.
