Oh, what a gorgeous fic. I like how you call attention to the train station/limbo trope and then unravel it -- the abrupt, jarring back-and-forth between the station and Jack's successive, horrific deaths is beautifully done. Wish this were in the WIAD final round, not that it would make my decision any easier..but I think everyone following the challenge should read it.
