Much as I hate to be a British stereotype, but Can You Believe This Weather???
It was like someone throwing Smarties at the window last night. The main river through the village is seriously considering bursting its banks, and the little stream that feeds into it is not so little any more...
I'm thinking about moving anything that's on the floor downstairs to higher ground.

Meep! That bad? Good luck - it's got to stop soon. Hasn't it? ::looks upwards nervously::
Our garden is gloriously boggy, and the lane into our village is under water at both ends, but passable... not that I'm going anywhere. Fire and a bottle of plonk for me!

So far we're dry, but if the river bursts its banks (or the little stream) we'll almost certainly be flooded. It hasn't happened for something like 60 years, though, so fingers crossed!
We had snow then *hail* last night; before that, thunderstorms with strange, ball-type lightning. Its *December* people; hail/thunder in December - WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!
