Yes, yes, yes I know I just posted about, like, two seconds ago. But a couple of important happy-making things:

Firstly, I have finished my dream_exchange fic. FINALLY.
God, I swear I had at least six drafts of that thing on my computer, all with different plots and everything, and none of them were working but I've finally found something I like, thank goodness ( Read more... )

Did Phillipa and James make it? Who is the dastardly schemer? And why is Arthur so blase about a BOMB?...gasp, did Arthur create this devious device of destruction to deploy against his dear soon-to-be departed devotee? And what is Chux?

...I take it you did not read the prompt. Apparently, by the prompt, Arthur suspects Eames of cheating and tries to take him out, except obviously Arthur luuuuuuurves Eames too much to take him out properly. Cue a lot of fail!assassination attempts. CUE RIDIC.

Chux! It is, like, oh God. How do I explain. Piece of fabric thing you wipe benches with. I forgot that us Australians have different names for things. What do you call it in America?

Nope, didn't read the prompt (guess I didn't want to be spoiled)...that is a really funny prompt/idea. :D

Oh, that's what that is! :P

Hmmm... *reads* ... well... I found this

“By the Buddhist principle of reincarnation,” says Arthur, “you have to die in one life to move up to the next. Which, in your case, would probably be to a mollusc. But that’s alright. We have an aquarium.”

“You’re so heartless,” says Eames from his spot on the floor. “I’m allergic to shellfish.”

and this

“...Is that Lego I see in the corner?”

to be especially cracktastic and the whole thing made me LOL so... I pronounce it made of win! :D

Seriously, most "crackfic" doesn't make me laugh, but this did.

Ah, good! Phew. I was worried the whole thing was just made of fail, sometimes I can't even understand my own sense of humour, it's just that weird. And I'm new to the crack genre, so ~insecurities~.

ajklhaldjal I HAD TO JUST STOP AND LAUGH AND LAUGH AND LAUGH

and well, i love the dynamic - because eames is confused - with bombs, with arthur's somewhat cold homicidal urges, but he's also eames so a little confusion doesn't deter him at all and arthur is so clearly angling for some pain and exploding eames bits except everything he says could just be arthur's way of showing affection and it's all kind of cloak and dagger and fun.

(i profess i read the fic and then read the prompt for it later on, but i am of the thinking that something can be both crack and serious and awesome, so)

GOOD GOOD OH THANK GOD IT MADE YOU LAUGH.

Ah, good good good. I was worried the dynamic was... too cold? I mean, from Arthur. As in, I was worried Arthur didn't come across as reluctant because, well, he did make the bomb, but obviously he doesn't want Eames to die. SO I DON'T KNOW. I'd wanted to get across that Arthur had purposefully made the bomb fail!tastic but... I don't know if that came across...?

Oh, that's good. Thank God. Also, it cleared your nose, so obviously my crack is a miracle cure. I SHOULD MARKET IT TO THE MASSES.

Will try my best to keep going but for some reason, this piece keeps floundering. I just... I don't know why. Perhaps I should just start it from the beginning, fresh start. I just keep going in circles with it and it's been almost two weeks since I posted something and THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Thank God! And thank you! I'll try my best to keep going, then!

Also, did you post your lovely Retrograde around to the comms? Because I definitely think you should.

DON'T BE SILLY. :glare: There seriously cannot ever be enough A/E in the comms, I swear, the fandom is slowing down. I'm not joking. I remember I used to have to scroll back through 120 or so for what I miss when I'm asleep; now I scroll back through 40 or 60. It's just not the same. AND IT MAKES ME SAD. You posting your fic might inspire other people to post their fic, and really, that's what fandom is about, isn't it? Everyone writing to inspire other people to write. So, darling. POST. So everyone can shower you with the love you deserve. ♥
