first of all i was finally able to get on a program to get my depakote which it has been 2 years since i have had to change my medican about i took becasue i had to pay ful price but anyways my doctor put me on clonazepam for my restless leg syndrom but while i was reading it i found out it is also for seizurs has anyone took this medican and does ( Read more... )

I take clonazepam for anxiety but my doctors said it will also help control seizures, which is true for me. I take Trileptal every day with Klonopin three times a week . Klonopin also helps control my muscle spasms from cerebral palsy and fibromyalgia.
Just be careful not to take too much. I can only handle up to 2 mg at a time. I normally take 0.5 or 1 mg because it's very strong.
It definitely helps with seizures, but it's not meant to be daily unless absolutely needed. M y father takes 0.5 mg every other day for restless leg syndrome because it's the only thing that works for him.

thanks yea the doctor has me on 0.5mg and the first day i took it i thought it would take along time to take effect and to my surprise i was out in 5 minutes and the next day i was actally not tired like i am with other medicans that knock me out

I don't think clonazepam is a good idea.

It does funny things with brain. Problems with critical thinking, odd ideas... And there is no way u can notice it. Also there is a chance of dependence, if you're taking it for more than a month. Withdrawal syndrom is almost as bad, as heroin withdrawal.

So... Be careful.

P.S. It can help with seizures, but the price...
