Oh, right, the first few episodes don't exactly encourage catching up, do they? I promise, the next one is way better! Actually, this season seems to be a bit of a rollercoaster in terms of episode quality. But you still have to catch up so we can squee about the awesome episodes! And also the not-so-great-episodes' random squeeworthy bits, like fun with Woolsey and bubble baths. :)
Meanwhile, I will be watching Merlin, in which Merlin and Arthur seem to have gotten into the habit of saving each other's lives. :) And also being maybe a little gay for each other. (Merlin is Arthur's "other half." For serious. Like, they almost use those exact words.) Despite there being two girls that I actually *like*, and het relationships I don't mind! I keep alternating between various pairings, OT3, and OT4... And Lancelot hasn't even shown up yet! He's totally going to muck everything up, isn't he

You need to bring your laptop (or at least a disk with the Merlin eps on it) down with you when you visit. (BTW, you has bought your plane ticket, y/n?) Pimp me your fandom!
I wish I could pimp the Aubreyad to you, but you've seen Master and Commander and it's hard to pimp books. Well, at least I can show you some of the more amusing fannish things, like the book summary videos...
And yes, re-pimp me SGA. Any new or interesting fic/vids that are not spoilery?

Huh. By that point there'll be seven episodes (wee!), with another coming out that Saturday, but we can at least watch a couple. It starts being awesome (and slashy) pretty early on, anyway. :)
Hmm, repimping SGA... Mostly, I really need you to see recent episodes (Rodney h/c and McSheppiness FTW!), but there's also fic like Big Bang stuff that's spoiler-free. The Whaleverse (A Clear and Different Light) I've already mentioned. I also enjoyed Circle of the Sun, Finding Home, Second Chance, The Price Life Exacts... I haven't actually finished all Big Bang yet, since I am mega-slow reader (and some, like "The Water Grinds the Stone", are hella-long). I think I also told you about Indelible a while back, which starts kinda weird but turns awesomesauce later. There are also adorable comics that gnine's been drawing recently, some of which are ep tags, but others which are just spoiler-free adorableI have (well, borrowed from the library) the M&C books you recommended. I just kinda haven't started reading them yet
