I can't remember anything about Anansi Boys other than that I liked it at the time of reading, and that this surprised me because I actually don't like Gaiman's books. His graphic novels are abso-fucking-lutely amazing, but his straight books have never grabbed me.
Now I want to re-read this one to see what you mean and ascertain whether I still enjoy it. :)
Hm, perhaps I should investigate his graphic novels then. Like I said, I *want* to like Neil Gaiman because I've heard so many terrific things about him...but, come to think of it, those terrific things were mostly about his graphic novels.
You should re-read and tell me what you think! I know that sometimes I approach a book in just the wrong mood, or with the wrong attitude, and it makes me dislike an otherwise good novel.
I had never really heard of GoodReads, but perhaps I shall join -- it looks fun! And maybe it will give me an incentive to truck through my huge stack of unread books...
I think my copy is in the UK so it will take me a while to re-read, but I shall!
GoodReads is much with the awesome. :) Yesterday I went through and created genre shelves for my 146 books. It appeals to the part of me that is borderline OCD.

Are you on GoodReads, btw?
