This pairing was actually sparked by soapcat writing it a couple months back, and soapcat explains where that inspiration came from.

Cookinguptales also wrote some.

I was partway done with the prompts before I saw this, which is a beautiful part of canon to work off of.

I wuv you. And this pairing. It's just...it somehow WORKS, doesn't it?! Cap is a sweetheart and Pool NEEDS a sweetheart...and yet someone who can still kick his ass a couple times, if he needs it.

WELL, in any case, I am going to try to come up with a prompt: Inspired by this page here, Wade should do that thing where he accidentally thinks out loud, and proposition Thor for a threesome. This should preferably happen with all the Avengers present. Whose brain will break the most-Thor's, Cap's, or everyone else's?
