Jun 23, 2005 18:38

i'm supposed to be be doing work, really, but i've just spent the past twenty minutes fuming over the whole f1asco (a little late, but still). no one's going to understand this except deewhydeeax, starafar and maybe nickietang, but.

the moment i saw the petition to get max mosley fired, i signed it. but that's not the main point (really, it was just a way to plug the link. ( Read more... )

Actually, I think Michelin should have had backup tyres ready. But yeah, I'd much rather watch the 6 cars go round and round than have 14 crashes. I don't ever recall a race where so few cars finished, much less started. Apparently the last time so few cars started was way back in '58, with 10, I think. So yeah, 6 is pretty pathetic.

You have no idea how much I agree with you. Though where have fans been blaming the teams for not racing? I'm on the f1 comm and mostly people seem to be blaming the FIA and Michelin.

It seems to be the FIA that's blaming the teams for not racing. I hope the FIA dies with its lungs impaled on a rusty spike, thank you very much. What makes them think that racing that one corner under a speed restriction was going to make the drivers any safer? What if a Bridgestone car was approaching from behind? Are they supposed to just pull over and let them pass? Would that have made a better race? Geeze.

heh. this mostly comes from RL--the anger for the venting, at least. that, and also various bits of journal entries i've read that seem to be repeating over and over again the fact that they're such loyal fans and they were so disappointed OMG, because, y'know, they're the only ones. yeesh.
