I got all four of these books for Christmas, and blew through them.  Excellent, though the last one felt as if it was hurried into print (things a once-over should have caught, like an event occurs where you know someone is not present, and that someone later reports on the event as if they were there, someone spreads out a map on their lap when ( Read more... )

The other two series of his that I've read are both very well-written. I haven't read all of Shadowmarch as I was reading it chapter by chapter and then Life got in the way and now I barely read anything :( Otherland is dramatically different, I would never guess that it was the same author even, different but great :)

Williams' is hit-or-miss for me. I loved the Memory, Sorrow, Thorn trilogy, but couldn't get into Shadowmarch for some reason. Otherland was also good, though like the other commenter mentioned, not in the same genre.
