Welcome home! I'm glad that you both made it back safely!
How was the security check-in at the airport(s)? I'm kind of pissed that we can't carry along any semblance of fluids as carry-on items--not only was I devoid of my water bottle, but I had to put my stash of Sabra hummus in my suitcase. Aieeeee. ;(
security was not too bad for me. I just didn't bring any of the restricted stuff. A water bottle would have been nice though.
I did have a problem on my very first flight because I forgot to remove my powerbook from my camera case/backpack. They took me aside and swabbed the laptop and the compartment that holds it. Hopefully there are no terrorist making bombs out of large digital cameras, 'cause they don't look at those at all.
that's dumb, the whole liquid thing is dumb... they're not making bombs out of two innocuous liquids smuggled on the plane, because...well that shits a badly written hollywood action fantasy and works about as well as Macguyver "science"...
hopefully we have our house presentable soon so you two can come over and stuff.
the laptop however...if it had been a dell, they'd have held you longer...those things do explode :)

thanks!
Yeah, the whole thing seems kinda silly. There are so many other holes in security. Now we can't take water or toothpaste. In the hydration and hygene departments the terrorists have already won.
Speaking of explosive Dells, Jess and I both lucked out with Apple's Sony battery recall. Our serial #'s weren't affected. It would have been NICE to get new batteries though.
We look forward to checking your place out! We're thinking about having a party here in a coupla weeks...
