Generally, I suppose, obscenity is the crutch of inarticulate motherfuckers (and yes, I do find that funny). Now, with that said, I finished reading Allen Ginsberg's HOWL today during my lunch hour at work and I'm still not sure how to react other than: Holy fuck. but it's hard to miss the entangled and blaringly vivid messages in his running words and not-so-nonsense.

i really like that description of HOWL a lot :).

in a very different sense i feel the same way about the wasteland. i don't understand it exactly, but it's saying something to me nevertheless.

Yes. But it's not that I don't understand HOWL, it's just how he chooses to relay his message - the words are jumbled and confusing, and yet the clarity with which he delivers them is un-missable. The message, to me, is clear, and still his words give way to much more thinking that follows.
