I am very sorry to hear about your brother. I hope you all, as a family, manage to solve the problems he has.

And I am very sorry to hear the words "if I had to choose". I am sure nobody wants you to choose between LJ/internet world and the real word/your brother. I hope that everybody understands that there are things that are more important than an update on LJ or a new chapter of a fanfic.
Take as much time as you need with your family and your brother and write when you feel that you want to write something.
