Let's do these in order, shall we?

1.) My opinion? I love this character to pieces. I think he's one of the best additions to Glee!

Blaine is idealistic, charming, honest, and an optimist. He's a showman, and really there for his friends.

I even like him for his not-so-good qualities. He can be pretty aloof at times. He's a shameless flirt, even when he doesn't know he is. He has a low self-esteem. He gets confused easily. He runs from his problems, instead of facing them head on. If anything, it makes him more real, adoreable, and endeering to watch.

2.) In the general scheme? Yes and No. In the beginning, he was important for Kurt's storyline, a friend, a mentor, etc.

Now though? Oh yes. Blaine, like Kurt, is a role model. Not just for gay teens, but really for anyone who has been bullied, and while nice and charming, has confusion, and tough times. He teaches you to smile, and look at the bright side. To have courage, and to not be the victim, even if you see yourself as a coward ( ... )

Re 1) YES. I think Blaine is one of the characters I like especially because of their flaws. If he weren't so aloof and easily confused and such a flirt without even noticing he would be quite boring. But as he his? He's awesome.

Re 2) THIS. SO MUCH. Especially that they can be a role model for everyone. I almost wish there'd been a character like him when I was younger. While you can somehow manage to teach yourself to be more optimistic, to show more courage, to be more like him, it's probably easier when you have someone like Blaine to basically look up to. ROCK ON, BLAINE ANDERSON. <3

Oh, and RE 4) It's good to know that the fandom has so awesome people and seems to be nice in general. I'm currently not really in any fandom since the last few ones scared me for life. They either criticized EVERYTHING or wanted to burn you alive if you didn't share their opinion... So, yeah, good to hear that there are still other fandoms. :)
