Beautiful. I'm still trying to gather my thoughts on the idea that losing memories can be a solace in the face of loss. Haunting image of Buffy not recognizing her sister's name. I imagine her writing it as a final attempt to stave off the inevitable and it's heartbreaking. Thank you.

Thank you for the comments! I think it's probably a double-edged sword to lose your memories like that. Even though it may bring solace, most people would rather live through the pain of loss and have something to hold onto of their loved ones. It's even more terrible to not have a choice in the matter. I'm glad you enjoyed the story.

Sweet! You did a great job re-working the ending. It's much more effective and heartbreaking this way. I'm glad you took me up on my suggestions, especially the handwriting exercise line and last paragraph. But no beta credit? *sniffles* I am unloved!

But, seriously. This is a wonderful shot, hun. I really do adore it. Kudos.

A sweet little story, but very sad. Poor Buffy. I wonder what reason she will remember for why she left Sunnydale. Spike is so tender and caring with her. Lovely.
