Ugh, my feet hurt like a painful hurty thing today. I went to DSW to return a pair of shoes (because they hurt my feet), and came home with three new pairs of shoes - one of which (the ones currently on my feet) hurt more than the ones I returned. I swear to God, the women's shoe industry has ceased to make footwear and is now deliberately ( Read more... )

sometimes i'm random, i watch too much tv

I hate shoes with a blazing passion because they always hurt my poor abused feet.

Have you posted about Dexter? I keep thinking I'm waiting for your big reaction post. Did I miss it? Season 3 is not as great as the first two, I think. Are you going to move on to #4?

Netflix is great, isn't it? You've already been through Farscape, right? That's next on my list.

I have posted about Dexter. Here's my season 1 and season 2 reaction posts. Netflix doesn't have season 4 yet, so I'll switch to something else for a while and come back to 4 when it's available.

I LOVE Netflix. I had Blockbuster before, but I never, ever used the in-store exchange, and I am now addicted to Netflix's watch instantly feature! It's doing wonders for clearing out my queue, lol. Now if only I would stop adding things, I might actually start making the numbers go down...

I haven't really seen Farscape. I know I watched the beginning, but I haven't seen more than the first season, and maybe not even all of that. It's in the queue!

If you are looking for good indie movies on netflix instant view, a couple weeks ago I recommended Fear and Trembling, The King of Kong, and Cashback. Me and You and Everyone We Know you have to order the DVD, but I think it's definitely worth it.

Or just stick with the TV. :)

Unfortunately I'm too commitment-phobic to start something else. I can't afford to have another Buffy in my life.

I'm pretty sure I've seen Me and You and Everyone We Know. It must not have left a great impression, though, because all I can remember is the title, lol. Will check out the others, though.

Finding a show that invokes such fannishness is rare for me, so I'm not really afraid of getting too attached. :)

It's definitely a weird one: pretty surrealist, and doesn't follow a lot of conventions when it comes to plotting / cohesion / closure / having an obvious point. It's one of those movie's that either you adore or don't get at all, and I don't blame anyone for being in the latter camp (e.g., my boyfriend, who usually has a very similar taste in movies). It's all just a matter of taste, and possibly the amount of time you've spent hanging out with circus folk and performance artists.

The other ones are much more conventionally quirky.

I just love season three because of Miguel.

I hate shoes. I have wide feet, and it is freaking impossible to find anything. I pretty much have to buy wide sizes, and heels are really impossible to find, even if I want to wear uncomfortable shoes. Right now, I have a bone to pick with Clarks brand. Their clogs are great, BUT-- I have been unable to find ones that have no heel. A 1" heel is still a heel. And if you're walking around all day, it matters. But I suppose no one wants to be the height that they actually are. Or something. I used to have this great pair of Clarks clogs that were flat. They were more comfortable than tennis shoes (which I hate wearing).

Yes, Miguel is definitely one of the highlights. :)

See, my problem is that I LOVE shoes. I love heels and I love funky styles... and if I could just sit all day and never have to walk in them, it'd be awesome. The problem is that I DO walk a lot, and none of the cute shoes are ever comfortable. It depresses me.

Ah, shoes... Sucks you end up taking so many back!
I'm very picky when it comes to shoes. I know what I don't like and it seems that's the only thing they have in the stores!! *facepalms*

I am not going to read your post about Dexter season 3 until I'm finished with it so I'll bookmark it. (Same with Chuck season 3).

That is a LONG Netflix queue!! O_o

I've gotten absurdly picky about shoes. I won't buy anything with more than a 1" heel anymore, and if I sense even a hint of discomfort when I try them on in the store, I won't buy them. And I STILL end up returning more than I keep.
