Summary: This is to coda of one hundred unwritten moments between Jim Kirk and Leonard McCoy.

( Leonard McCoy has surgeon’s fingers, long with rough pads, thick from practiced use. Jim lets them undress him, under his uniform shirt to skate the undulations of his ribcage. They are pink with fresh skin, knitted tight and new under Leonard’s own fingers, and like clean clothes still starchy to the touch as Jim sucks in a breath between his teeth, straight on top and crooked on the bottom, and holds it in without thinking. )

This is so gorgeous. *happy sigh* I like the moment where Jim recognizes Bones taking care of him as a kind of buckling.

I love when Bones takes cares of Jim, patches him back together, and then complains about having to do it, but this was even better because he wasn't going to demand that Jim change.

Thanks much, I'm glad you enjoyed it, :) I've wanted to write this for a while, because I feel Bones knows Jim well enough not to ask him to change. He may grumble and bitch and moan every time Jim blows himself up, but he would never ask Jim to do anything differently, unless he felt Jim was being truly reckless or self-destructive.

It's something that bugs me in other fics, when Bones is shown asking Jim not to go on away missions, or threatening to leave him because he can't stand the strain of seeing Jim get hurt. Bones is stronger than that, and I feel his relationship with Jim is stronger than that. So I'm glad you picked up on that in the story.
