this is nowhere NEAR bad. in fact, it's quite wonderful. as for me, what i love is the feeling of the city that's spun throughout the entire thing.

Yay for not being bad! And I'm glad the atmosphere of the city came through, I was trying to incorporate that as much as I could into the story. New York is such a huge part of the original work (as well as the movie, when I think about it), that fics that seem to downplay its signifance in terms of setting and mood seem to miss the point entirely...
